AVATAR ANNOUNCE FALL U.S. TOUR DATES
GEMINI SYNDROME + HUNTRESS TO SUPPORT
HAIL THE APOCALYPSE OUT NOW!
NEW YORK – Swedish visual masterminds AVATAR have announced a new batch of U.S. tour dates starting this fall. The dates will serve as the last time the band sees American soil while supporting their most recent record, Hail The Apocalypse. “We are heading towards the final curtain call of the apocalypse,” says frontman Johannes Eckerström.
The band plans to begin work on a new album at the end of the year with an all new release planned for 2016. Eckerström continues, “The hymns will be played one more time before we close this chapter and you need to be there. Destruction and decay is best viewed from a front row seat and as always, we intend to mix things up bring the freaky in ways we haven’t before.”
Support will come from HUNTRESS, GEMINI SYNDROME and FIRST DECREE.
The new HUNTRESS album STATIC will be released on September 25, 2015 on Napalm Records. The highly-anticipated record was produced by Paul Fig (Grammy nominated engineer, Alice in Chains, Deftones, Trivium, Ghost BC) and Jim Rota (Fireball Ministry, Executive Producer Sonic Highways series, Producer Sound City Movie), Engineered and Mixed by Paul Fig. Pre-orders are available now here.

AVATAR are well known for their music videos and the last time we heard from the band they were releasing a stunning visual for their track “Vultures Fly.” The captivating works of visual art have made the rounds over the last number of years surrounding their last two releases. From the vintage look of “Hail The Apocalypse” to their biggest single “Bloody Angel,” the most recent effort is no different.
AVATAR released Hail the Apocalypse last year to much critical acclaim, cracking the Billboard Top 200 Chart, debuting at #97. “Avatar’s sound is fierce, honed, and cathartic enough to have many new fans running away with this circus,” says Revolver Magazine.
