46 FINALISTS ANNOUNCED IN THE 2015 HIT LIKE A GIRL DRUMMING CONTEST.

Hit Like A Girl is proud to announce that more than 40 of the world’s best drummers have been selected as finalists in the 2015 edition of the international drumming contest for girls and women. Contest participants included girls as young as 6 and women in their 50’s and represented nearly 50 different countries, from North and South America to Asia, Europe and Africa. The HLAG Finalists were chosen by popular vote, professional drummers and drum industry executives.

Following the final round of judging, the Champion and 2 runners-up in both the over and under 18 age divisions will be announced on the 2015 Hit Like A Girl Awards Show. The show will be webcast live on May 7, 2015 at 4:00 PM PDT on DrumChannel.com and will be co-hosted by Jess Bowen (The Summer Set), Mindy Abovitz (Tom Tom) and Phil Hood (DRUM!). The show will also feature appearances and performances by Didi Negron (2015 HLAG Spokesperson and Cirque du Soleil Amaluna), YouTube sensation Anike Nilles, Russian all-female drum line Loud Street Girls, 2014 HLAG Champions Riesha Fayson and Kanade Sato along with many other special guests and surprises.
